The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed for longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8 am and breakdown must be completed by 7 pm.

As part of its citywide traffic improvement program, the New York City Department of Transportation has compiled a list of areas where Street construction or Street events will impede the normal flow of traffic this weekend.

Manhattan

East 2nd Street between Avenue A and Avenue B

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 12th Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 13th Street between 5th Avenue and University Place

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 16th Street between 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 22nd Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South

This street will be closed Saturday from 6 am to 7 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 30th Street between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue

This street will be closed 12:01 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

West 33rd Street between 11th Avenue and 10th Avenue

This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

East 44th Street between 3rd Avenue and 2ndAvenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 49th Street between 10th Avenue and 11th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate water main and sewer repairs.

West 58th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 58th Street between 2nd Avenue and 1st Avenue

These streets will be closed Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 2 pm to facilitate NYCDDC water main work. During this time, access to the Queensboro Bridge South Upper Roadway will also be restricted. Motorists should follow the posted detour to the Queensboro Bridge South Outer Roadway via 1st Avenue and East 59th Street.

East 74th Street between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 89th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Columbus Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation

West 102nd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 109th Street between 2nd Avenue and 1st Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 133rd Street between Southbound Broadway and Northbound Broadway

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate MTA repair work.

Nassau Street between Ann Street and Beekman Street

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Greene Street between Prince Street and West Houston Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Peck Slip between Pearl Street and Water Street

This street will be closed 8 am to 10 pm Saturday and 9 am to 10 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

King Street between Hudson Street and Greenwich Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Manhattan/Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge

Due to the Brooklyn Bridge Ramps Rehabilitation Project, several lane closures may affect motorists travelling between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Local streets may experience single lane closures as needed and Manhattan-bound lane closures continue overnight throughout the duration of the project. Any other closures, including Manhattan-bound closures that extend into daytime hours during selected weekends, will be highlighted below. Brooklyn-bound traffic will be maintained throughout the project as will the span���s pedestrian and cycling path. During Manhattan-bound closures, motorists will be detoured to the nearby Manhattan Bridge or may choose other crossings.

Unless otherwise notified of specific occurrences, nighttime closures as follows:

Overnight Detours for Manhattan-Bound Traffic
Friday night/Saturday morning Midnight* to 7 am
Mon-Thurs night: 11 pm* to 6 am

* To allow traffic to clear before the reversal begins, the eastbound BQE exit onto the bridge closes 30 minutes earlier, the northbound FDR Drive exits close up to an hour earlier, and other Brooklyn ramps onto the bridge shut down 5-15 minutes earlier.

Brooklyn

39th Street between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 55th Street between Beverly Road and Tilden Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Albany Avenue between Fulton Street and Decatur Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Starr Street between Central Avenue and Wilson Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Third Street Bridge over Gowanus Canal

One of two lanes will be closed in either direction Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm for bridge repair work.

Lawrence Street between Metrotech Roadway and Willoughby Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Union Street Bridge over Gowanus Canal

One of two lanes will be closed eastbound Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm until late March 2015 to facilitate bridge repair work.

Bronx

Bathgate Avenue between East Tremont Avenue and East 178th Street

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Ryeer Avenue between East 182nd Street and East 183rd Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Queens

23rd Street between Queens Plaza North and 41st Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

66th Avenue between 102nd Street and 103rd Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Festivals, Parades and Events

Queens County St. Patrick���s Day Parade

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 1 pm to 5 pm for the Queens County St. Patrick���s Day Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Formation:
  • Newport Avenue between Beach 140th Street and Beach 129th Street
Route:
  • Newport Avenue between Beach 129th Street and Beach 116th Street
  • Beach 116th Street between Newport Avenue and Rockaway Beach Boulevard
  • Rockaway Beach Boulevard between Beach 116th Street and Beach 102nd Street
Dispersal:
  • Beach 102nd Street between Rockaway Freeway and Shorefront Parkway

Hindu Phagwah Parade

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 12 pm Noon to 3 pm for the Hindu Phagwah Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Formation:
  • Liberty Avenue between 133rd Street and Van Wyck Boulevard
Route:
  • Liberty Avenue between 133rd Street and 125th Street
  • 125th Street between Liberty Avenue and 95th Avenue
Dispersal:
  • 125th Street between 95th Avenue and Atlantic Avenue
  • Into Phil Rizzuio Park

Staten Island/New Jersey Crossings

Bayonne Bridge

One of two lanes in each direction is open to traffic for PANY/NJ long term navigational clearance project. No oversized or overweight vehicles are permitted. Overnight Bridge closures started January 8th, 2014 and continue through the duration of this long term project. The closures are: Monday through Thursday from 9 pm to 5 am and Friday midnight to 11:59 pm Saturday. No weekend closures on Sunday and holiday weekends. During closures, motorists should use the Goethals Bridge as an alternate.
