Description:
NYSERDA’s Existing Facilities Program offers incentives for a variety of energy projects including Pre-Qualified Measures and Performance-Based Incentives.

For Pre-Qualified Measures, applicants can receive incentives ($/unit) for energy-efficiency and conservation measures. Projects can receive up to $30,000 through pre-qualified incentives. Applicants must select specific measure to apply for. These include: lighting, HVAC, chillers, motors, variable frequency drives, commercial refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment and washers, interval meters, gas efficiency (Con Edison customers only).

Performance-based incentives are available in the following areas:
• Electric Incentives are provided to customers or energy service companies (ESCOs) that implement energy-efficiency projects that deliver verifiable annual electrical energy savings.
• Industrial Process Efficiency Incentives are provided to offset the costs of projects focused on increasing productivity, increasing process efficiency, reducing waste, and reducing energy consumption on a per unit of production basis.
• Gas Incentives are provided to customers or ESCOs working on gas-efficiency projects that deliver verifiable annual gas savings.
• Demand Response Incentives are provided to offset a portion of the technology costs that enable facilities to participate in Demand Response Programs.
• Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Incentives are provided to offset the installation cost of clean, efficient, and commercially available CHP systems.

1.  Business must be located in New York State.
2.  Businesses must be customers of Con Edison or National Grid and pay the New York State System Benefits Charge (SBC).

Businesses must be customers of Con Edison or National Grid and pay the New York State System Benefits Charge (SBC). To determine if electric bills include the SBC, look at a recent electric bill from the utility company to see if SBC is listed as a charge. If you do not see this line item, you may contact NYSERDA at the number below which will assist you in determining whether you pay into the SBC.
