CREDENTIALING, POOL AND PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR
NEW YORK CITY'S SEPTEMBER 11th COMMEMORATION CEREMONY

The City's
observance will take place at Zuccotti Park on Thursday, September 11th.
Credentialing, pool and program information has been disseminated to the
media via the Mayor's Press Office email and fax distribution lists, and
the webpage set up by the Press Office at www.nyc.gov/mediaadvisory.
This year, family members and students representing countries that lost
individuals will read the names of those who died at the World Trade Center
Site on September 11, 2001.

Press check-in
for Thursday, September 11th will be at the southeast corner of Broadway
and Liberty Streets. Check-in begins at 6:30 AM and ends at 7:30 AM
sharp. Media must check-in to receive an event credential, and will
not be granted access to the ceremony without one.

Media
with NYPD press credentials do not have to pre-register but must check
in to receive an event credential to gain access to the site. As detailed
in previous advisories, media without NYPD credentials must have pre-registered
by Friday, September 5th. Registration is now closed. Media who have
pre-registered must present a valid employee and/or photo ID indicating
what organization they work for in order to receive their credential.
Confirmation emails for those who pre-registered have been sent out.
Media must display their event credential at all times on site during
the day.

Video cameras will not be allowed into the ceremony.

All media
granted a credential must remain in the designated press area during
the ceremony. Reporters must remain silent during the entire length
of the program. Only designated pool participants will be allowed
to enter the site and film/photograph events at the lower level of
the site. All media must adhere to these conditions; your
NYPD press credential and event credential may be revoked at any time
for failure to comply.

Names: A complete list of the names of the 2,751 World Trade
Center victims will be posted on www.nyc.gov/mediaadvisory
on September 10, 2008. Names will be read in alphabetical order as they
are listed.
Readers
List: A complete list of names of the readers is still being finalized and will be posted on the evening of September 10, 2008. Reader's names will be posted in the order that they are scheduled to read but changes will occur during the course of the program. The list of reader names will be embargoed from publication or broadcast until 12:01 AM on September 11, 2008.

TELEVISION AND PHOTO POOL INFORMATION
- A television
pool has been established to cover the ceremony in Zuccotti Park and
shots of the World Trade Center site. Bard Entertainment, Ltd., a New
York company headed by David Stern, is doing production and Producer
Annette Jolles is the Pool Coordinator. Questions regarding the availability
of the pool coverage and transmission should be directed to Annette
Jolles at (917) 743-1182. Television producers/ correspondents may obtain
a credential at Press Check-in to attend but may not bring video cameras
into Zuccotti Park.
- A photo
pool also has been established to cover the ceremony in Zuccotti Park
and shots of the World Trade Center site, and the New York Press Photographers
Association has agreed to coordinate distribution of the pool photos.
All pool photos are being distributed through delivery to pool members'
FTP sites. All questions should be directed to the photo pool coordinator
Ray Stubblebine via e-mail at president@nyppa.org.
Photographers who are not a part of the pool will be provided a spot
on the General Press Riser after they have obtained a credential at
Press Check-in.
There will also be a print pool location at the top of the ramp near where the families descend (Location #7). Please contact the reporter below to obtain their notes after the event.

NOTE ABOUT 2 WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER
The NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM) issued an advisory to all local and national media outlets and the Foreign Press Center asking those outlets interested in securing a spot on the 10th floor balconies at the World Financial Center to apply, and most requests were granted. Questions regarding the World Financial Center should be directed to Chris Gilbride at OEM at (718) 422-4888.
PARKING FOR SATELLITE & MICROWAVE TRUCKS
All questions regarding parking should be directed to the NYPD Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information at (646) 610-6700. There will not be satellite truck parking near Zuccotti Park. There will be limited access for satellite trucks near the World Financial Center.
DRIVING RESTRICTIONS & STREET CLOSURES
Because limited equipment is allowed on the ceremony site, it is suggested that media take mass transit if possible.

TRIBUTE IN LIGHT
The "Tribute in Light" will return for one night as a tribute to all those who were lost on September 11th as well as those who worked so hard to get our City through its greatest trial. The lights are located at West and Morris Streets in Lower Manhattan. The lights will be on for one night on September 11, 2008, beginning at sunset and fading away at dawn on September 12th. There will be no formal program. The lights are best seen when it is completely dark; sunset is expected to occur at 7:11 PM tomorrow and sunrise is expected to occur at 6:34 AM on the morning of September 12th.
