| A project of the NYC Voter Assistance Commission, the Video Voter Guide is an exciting public resource designed to provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent them. First launched in 2005, the nonpartisan Guide provides candidates with an opportunity to issue a prepared statement that outlines their policies and conveys their reasons for seeking City office. This website is intended to provide information about candidates participating in the general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Candidates who are not participating in a primary election do not appear on this website at this time. After the primary election, the Video Voter Guide will be revised to feature candidates running in the general election.
