	The Registration Process To find out whether you qualify to vote in New York City, please read the qualifications section below. 1) Download, print, and fill out the voter registration form available in the the following languages: English (in PDF) Spanish (in PDF) Chinese (in PDF) Korean (in PDF) You can also call the Board of Elections at (866) VOTE-NYC (866-868-3692) to receive a postage-paid registration form by mail. 2) Please remember to fill out the form completely using blue or black ink only. Don't forget to sign and date your application. 3) Mail (do not fax) the completed application to: NYC BOARD OF ELECTIONS 32 Broadway, 7th Floor New York, NY 10004-1609 NOTE: This address is for New York City residents ONLY. 	Qualifications To register to vote in the City of New York, you must: Be a citizen of the United States (Includes those persons born in Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands) Be a New York City resident for at least 30 days Be 18 years of age before the next election Not be incarcerated or on parole for a felony conviction Not be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court Not claim the right to vote elsewhere (outside the City of New York) Although you can register any time during the year, your form must be delivered or mailed at least 25 days before the next election for it to be effective for that election.
