NYC Voter Assistance Commission (VAC) holds meeting in Brooklyn

On July 13, 2005 from 1:00 - 3:00pm the New York City Voter Assistance Commission/VAC will hold its bimonthly meeting and hearing in Brooklyn at Brooklyn Borough Hall in the community room.

New Yorkers have consistently participated in large numbers at the polls on Election Day and VAC is encouraging Brooklyn voters to give testimony during the public hearing on their election day experiences as well as any other voting concerns and or questions they may have.

To schedule a three-minute slot, members of the public are being asked to log onto www.nyc.gov/voter or call VAC's offices at 212-788-8384.

Exercising the right to vote is the cornerstone of our democracy. VAC encourages and facilitates voter registration and voting by all eligible citizens residing in the five boroughs. VAC is a non-partisan City agency dedicated to encouraging voter registration and participation.

To receive more information on voting in New York City, please contact VAC at 212-788-8384, or the Board of Elections at 212-VOTE-NYC.
