Filmed in the lapse of five years, moving images of crowds in public spaces are distorted through a lens; treated as a canvas, the video format is then cut and paste weaving layers of different periods and places resulting in a color field composition of intervals of time within a space.
    Color Mesh
Mauricio Lopez
Inspired by scaffolds and protective fabrics in construction sites, ‘COLOR MESH’ uses vibrant colors bringing to life often dusty and somber construction sites. This dynamic design allows for stretching and connecting it anywhere vertically or horizontally, while creating the optical illusion of movement by changing dimensions of columns and rows.
    My Urban Sky
Jen Magathan
A road trip from Michigan to Virginia inspired me to bring the Midwestern sky to the urban context. What would it feel like to walk down a crowded street and find yourself next to an open sky? My Urban Sky infuses the cityscape with modular vignettes of open sky.
    Green Screen
Corinne Ulmann
I propose to create a series of visual landscapes based on trees from parks across New York City. The designs for each of the temporary structures work together to amplify the recession of space, and the incorporated light pattern on the construction fence references the effect of light coming through leaves
