New York City Global Partners

Global Partners Junior

Global Partners Junior is an award-winning student after-school program that fosters global understanding and communication by connecting 9-12 year old New Yorkers with their international peers around the world on the internet.

Students work on topics relevant to all cultures: urban society, city parks and building a sustainable city. Participants post and read each other’s messages on a secure internet forum, share digital media projects, video greetings and information about themselves and their communities.

Global Partners Junior won the 2006 Sister Cities International Innovation Award for Youth & Education.
