New York City is proud to be host to the United Nations headquarters, as well as 193 Permanent Missions to the United Nations. The goal of the Division for Diplomatic and Consular Affairs is to facilitate positive relations between the Office of the Mayor, as well as all City Agencies, businesses, residents of New York City, and members of the diplomatic community. The Mayor’s Office for International Affairs answers questions, offers problem solving, and provides a City orientation for newly arrived diplomatic and consular officers. Additionally, the Office responds to inquiries and concerns from City residents, businesses, and agencies with regards to the diplomatic community.
