• Ride in a van that is clean, in good condition, and has passed all required inspections

• Be driven by a TLC-licensed driver in good standing, with his/her TLC driver's license on display
• A safe and courteous driver who obeys all traffic laws
• A knowledgeable driver who is familiar with the areas where the van is authorized to provide service
• A quiet trip, free of horn-honking and audio/radio noise
• Receive a fare quote from the dispatcher and pay that amount for your ride
• A smoke and scent free ride
• Air-conditioning or heat on request
• Decline to tip for poor service

Since November 22, 2010, the commuter van rules have required the Commuter Van Passenger's Bill of Rights (pictured below) to be displayed in a protective holder behind the front passenger seat. The Bill of Rights can be purchased from the list of authorized printers.
