RELOCATION OF GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL TAXI STAND

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) hereby announces the following industry information specific to a temporary change in the location of the taxi stand at Grand Central Terminal.

The taxi stand at the northeast corner of 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue will be temporarily relocated on Friday, April 16, 2004 to facilitate the filming of a movie production. Grand Central Partnership (GCP) taxi dispatchers will move operations just west of Vanderbilt Avenue on 42nd Street from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. All taxi drivers should bypass the stand directly in front of the terminal and proceed one half block west on 42nd Street where GCP taxi dispatchers will be assisting commuters between Vanderbilt and Madison Avenues.

Normal operation of the taxi stand in front of the Terminal will resume at approximately 6 p.m. on Friday evening, April 16, 2004, after the movie shoot has concluded.
