NOTE: Requesting to cancel a TLC Driver License does not remove outstanding suspensions and/or summonses. If you wish to reapply in the future, outstanding suspensions and/or summonses must be closed before you reapply.
I’ve received a notice of impending default judgement. What is it and what do I need to do?
An impending default judgment means you owe the TLC money. You were issued a summons for operating illegally in NYC. You were found guilty of this violation at a hearing. If you did not attend your hearing, you were found guilty by default.
If you do not take further action, additional legal penalties may be imposed.
You have the following options:
You can pay the money you owe:
by Money Order made payable to NYCTLC mailed to:
TLC Cashiers 31‐00 47th Avenue 3rd Floor LIC, NY 11101 Please include your summons number, and a copy of the notice that was mailed to you
You can come to Long Island City TLC office and ask to speak to a Court Unit attorney.
