TLC licensees that are current and allowed to provide service are listed below. The data in the files listed below was last updated on Fri Feb 10, 2012 at 03:11 PM

A licensee cannot provide service unless BOTH the TLC license and DMV license (for drivers) and the DMV registration (for vehicles) is in good standing. For  New York State (NYS) licensed drivers and NYS registered vehicles, you may confirm that the DMV license/registration is neither suspended nor revoked by reviewing the list on Check your NYS DMV Status; any licensee on these lists cannot provide service.

Please note: The NYS DMV Status link on this page is current as of yesterday.  Therefore, when you click on this link, it will take you to a page with lists that contain data that are current as of yesterday. All other TLC Licensee Lists on this page are current as of 15:12:07 PM today.

FHV Drivers are those individuals licensed by the TLC to operate black car, community car service, and luxury limousine vehicles.

Black Car Services

Paratransit Services

Yellow Medallion Taxicabs

Yellow Medallion Taxicabs are the official taxis of New York City. There are currently about 13,000 licensed taxicabs and they provide transportation for passengers via street hails. Medallion Taxicab Drivers face a unique set of requirements in order to be licensed to drive a yellow taxicab.

Group Ride Vehicle Pilot Program

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) has approved a new Group Ride Vehicle pilot program to provide an alternative transportation option for New Yorkers in neighborhoods with reduced or eliminated bus service. This new service will allow point to point, shared-rides among specified pick-up and drop-off locations. These locations will be marked with DOT-provided signage that gives information on the service. This pilot program will run for one year.  All licenses issued under this pilot will expire one-year from date of issuance.
