Online Members use the database independently and rely on customer service representatives for troubleshooting as needed. If you are interested in Online Membership, you can begin the process now. Once you start the process, all communication from TimeBanksNYC will be via email.
Supported Members prefer to work through a customer service representative to initiate the registration process, enter exchanges into the database, and access information from the database. If you are interested in Supported Membership, TimeBanksNYC's customer service representatives can help you complete the membership steps below. Please visit a neighborhood site or call the TimeBanksNYC helpline at 212-227-9311 for phone support Monday through Friday, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm EST. Supported Members will receive registration and service exchange communication by phone.
4 Easy Steps to Activating Membership:
Step 1: Complete the brief personal profile form with your basic contact information. You will receive email or phone confirmation that this has been submitted.
Step 2: Complete the TimeBanksNYC application form. This document requests information that will serve as an important tool for members considering service exchanges with you. It also requires three references (personal or professional).
Step 3: Attend an orientation or view the online video, and sign the Member Agreement.
Step 4: After fulfilling the above steps, you will receive email or phone confirmation that your TimeBanksNYC membership has been activated and that you can now participate in service exchanges.
- You will receive an email or phone call inviting you to attend a TimeBanksNYC orientation once your application has been submitted. In-person orientations will be held at least twice per month in each of the five boroughs and an RSVP is required to reserve a seat. Please disregard this invitation if you prefer to view the online video orientation in lieu of the in-person orientation.
