The Super Boat International New York Powerboat Race
NY Super Boat Grand Prix
Date: September 5-7, 2008
Place: The Hudson River (Prime viewing areas between Battery Park and W. 22nd Street)

The New York Super Boat Grand Prix, a three-day festival of power boat racing, has been a fixture on New York City’s waterways since 1992. New York serves as the sixth stop on the nine-city tour of the Super Boat International Racing Series and the only stop in the Northeast. In this year’s races, Team Taboo (00:41:14) defeated Hard Rock Panasonic (00:16:24) to win the prestigious Super Vee Unlimited Class with an average speed of 90.22 mph.
