The National Invitation Pre-Season Tournament

This year's preseason tournament will showcase some of the best college basketball programs in the country. The annual preseason competition is often an indicator of just how good the teams involved will be during the regular season.

2001 National Invitation Tournament

The NIT is college basketball's oldest post-season tournament. Many NBA stars have played in the NIT while in college. Included in that list is New York Knick legend Walt "Clyde" Frazier.
