The New Balance Games attracted over 5,000 high school and elite runners from around the world. Chanelle Price of Easton Area High School (PA) set the girls’ national indoor 500-meter record, clocking in at 1:10.30. American Alicia Williams ran the world fastest women's 400-meter race of the year with a time of 53.33 seconds and Andy Baddeley of Great Britain ran the fastest men's mile in the world this year, coming in just under the four minute mark at 3:59.29.
Jamaican Dwayne Barrett won the men's 400-meters in 47.12 and Lillya Shobukhova of Russia won the women's mile in 4:31.90. In the high school boys’ one mile race, Robby Andrews of Manalapan, NJ outlasted a competitive field with a time of 4:12.48 and Kristin Reese of Carmel, NY won the girls’ mile in 4:52.65.
