For the 27th consecutive year, NASCAR returned to New York City to crown the Champion of the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series during Champions Week. NASCAR hosted a week-long celebration with events including the Victory Lap, Pit Stop Tour, Trophy display and Awards Banquet. The Victory Lap included the year’s top ten drivers: Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Victory Lap

The top drivers of the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series completed a Victory Lap through Midtown Manhattan, starting in Times Square. This year’s top ten drivers included Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick.
Victory Lap Fan Zones Locations: 43rd St. & Madison Ave.; 53rd St. & Fifth Ave.; 48th St. & Broadway; 44th St. & Broadway.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Pit Stop Tour

Interactive mobile marketing vehicles made their way around New York City during Champions Week. The Tour had free giveaways.
The NASCAR Street Tour
Monday, November 26 – Friday, November 30
More than a dozen authentic stock cars were scattered around Manhattan. Street teams had free giveaways with free photo opportunities.
NASCAR Fan Fest
Thursday, November 29 – Friday, November 30
A fan friendly program held at the Hard Rock Cafe with music, entertainment and official NASCAR partner activities and giveaways. Includes appearances by NASCAR drivers and/or crew members for “chalk talks” and photo opportunities.
NASCAR Trophy Display
Saturday, November 24 – Sunday, December 2
The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series trophies were displayed in Manhattan. Fans visited the trophy display area for free photographs and giveaways.
