Muay Thai Mayhem XII featured a stellar Pro-Am card with fighters hailing from the US, Thailand, Holland, Japan and Venezuela. Ra’Karma Young defeated Yavous Kayabasi by decision to become the new WBL Intercontinental Junior Middleweight Champion, and Sean Hinds won by decision over Sergey Kopachev to claim the WBL Intercontinental Super Middleweight title.
The event, sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association in cooperation with the World Boxing League, featured both professional and amateur bouts.
Muay Thai is a form of kickboxing originally from Thailand. Unlike traditional kickboxing, Muay Thai allows low kicks, elbows, and knees and is considered among the elite striking arts. Muay Thai takes place in a ring and competitors wear gloves similar to those used in boxing.
