Shane Mosley vs. Antonio Diaz
On Saturday, November 4th, Sugar Shane Mosley remained both undefeated and the WBC Welterweight Champion as he defeated Antonio Diaz in the sixth round of their 12-round bout. Referee Arthur Mercante stopped the fight in the middle of the sixth when Mosley delivered the third knockdown of the evening. This fight is the first defeat for Diaz (33-3, 22 KO's) since 1996. The knockout was Mosley's 33rd in 36 fights as he extended his record to 36-0. The sellout crowd of 5,149 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden got to see a fighter who many consider to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the business.
Hector Camacho Jr. vs. Joe Hutchinson
In the undercard bout, the sellout crowd on hand watched Hector Camacho Jr. take on Joe Hutchinson in a 10-round junior welterweight match. Like his father, Camacho Jr. displayed a flashy demeanor as he cruised to a unanimous decision over Hutchinson (18-2-2). The win extends Camacho Jr.'s unbeaten streak to 30 professional fights.
