World Championship Boxing – Cotto v. Judah

When: Saturday, June 9, 2007
Where: Theater at Madison Square Garden

Miguel Cotto used his brutal punching power to retain his WBA welterweight title with an 11th round TKO over former champ Zab Judah. In front of a raucous crowd of 20,658 at Madison Square Garden, the two fighters engaged in a classic battle before Cotto stopped a dazed and bleeding Judah, who was trailing 97-91 on all three scorecards when the fight was stopped.

Cotto (30-0, 25 KOs) has now defended his title three times and wants to take it up a level, perhaps by fighting the likes of WBC champ Floyd Mayweather Jr., WBO champ Antonio Margarito or IBF champ Kermit Cintron.
