Wladimir Klitschko vs. Calvin Brock

In his IBF first title defense, Wladmir Klitschko recorded a seventh-round knockout of American Calvin Brock at Madison Square Garden. Klitschko (47-3, 42 KOs) started out slowly but found his rhythm in the sixth round and proceeded to knock Brock (29-1) to the mat in the seventh round. Brock rose at the count of seven, but was unable to fully regain his balance and referee Wayne Kelly stopped the fight with 50 seconds left in the round. At the time of stoppage, Klitschko was ahead on all three judge scorecards.
In the undercard bout, Laila Ali (22-0, 19 KOs), daughter of Muhammad Ali, defeated Shelley Burton (8-3) in the fourth round in her Madison Square Garden debut.
