Although Atlanta derailed the Mets bid to play in their fourth World Series and first Subway Series, the Amazin's galvanized their fans and won the hearts of baseball fans across the nation with their never say die attitude. Met fans will always remember the '99 Mets for their improbable run.

The highlights:
  • Three victories in their final three regular season games to force only the sixth single game playoff in the history of baseball.
  • The Mets defeated Cincinnati to win the National League Wild Card.
  • Todd Pratt's dramatic game winning and series ending home run in Game 5 of the NLDS versus the Arizona Diamondbacks.
  • A Game 4 victory over the Braves to keep their World Series dreams alive.
  • Robin Ventura's game winning hit in the bottom of the 15th inning of Game 5 ended one of the greatest playoff games of all-time.
  • Down 5-0 in Game 6 the Mets showed their tenacity and courage as they fought back to take a lead in a game they eventually lost in the 11th inning.
