METS NOTES
SHEA STADIUM TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY

Due to the construction of CitiField in Flushing, NY, mass transit is the most efficient way to get back and forth from Shea Stadium. The Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station or Woodside stops right at Shea Stadium with simple connections to the Long Island and New Jersey Transit. The #7 train easily serves Grand Central's Metro North trains from Westchester and Connecticut, as well as service from Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Wagner and Wright Selected to All-Star Team

Billy Wagner was the lone New York Met named to the 2008 National League All-Star team. This selection marks the sixth time in his career that he earned the honor of representing his league in the Mid-Summer Classic.

Third baseman David Wright of will replace injured Alfonso Soriano of the Chicago Cubs on the National League All-Star roster. Wright, who is batting .288 with 17 home runs and 70 RBI, will be making his third consecutive appearance in the All-Star Game. Wright was a fan-elected starter in 2006 and 2007.
