What: 13th Annual Mayor's Cup Handball Tournament

West 5th St. Courts Coney Island for Brooklyn residents
West 96th St. Courts Central Park for Manhattan and Staten Island residents
Van Cortlandt Park for Bronx and out of state residents
Beach 105th Far Rockaway for Queens and Long Island residents

The Inner City Handball Association (ICHA), in partnership with the United States Handball Association (USHA), the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and the New York City Sports Commission hosted the 13th annual NYC Mayor’s Cup Handball Championship. In the women’s pro singles division, Tracy Davis defeated Sarah Au for the championship. On the men's side, Satish Jagnandan won in a thrilling 11-1 tie-breaker against Cesar Sala to capture the pro singles division title. Preliminary matches were held in Coney Island and Central Park, with the finals taking place in Central Park on the North Meadow handball courts.

Over $5,000 in total prize money was awarded to the Pro and Pro-Am Champions. A portion of the weekend’s proceeds went towards the Jim Jacobs Fund for Leukemia/Lymphoma Cancer Research in an effort to aid Cancer research and promote Cancer awareness.
