GAME 1: Liberty Take Game 1 of Eastern Conference Finals
Janel McCarville scored 17 points and Shameka Christon had 11 points and 11 rebounds to help the New York Liberty hold off the Detroit Shock 60-56 in the opener of the Eastern Conference finals. Deanna Nolan scored 11 of her 22 points in the final 3 minutes and Katie Smith had 13 points for the Shock. Nolan had two 3-pointers and hit three free throws during the final stretch to keep Detroit close, but missed a potential tying 3-pointer with about 10 seconds left. New York's Erin Thorn scored five points in the final minute to seal the win.

GAME 2: Shock Hold Off Elimination
Deanna Nolan scored nine of her 22 points in the fourth quarter Sunday and the Detroit Shock staved off elimination with a 64-55 victory over the New York Liberty in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals. The Shock trailed by seven points going into the fourth, but outscored New York 25-9 in the final 10 minutes of the game. The win preserves Detroit's chance of earning a spot in their third-straight WNBA final. Shameka Christon led the Liberty with 16 points, the only New York player in double figures.

GAME 3: Liberty Season Ends on Narrow Game 3 Loss to Detroit
Despite a valiant second-half comeback, the Liberty came up just short, falling to Detroit 75-73 in the deciding game of the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals. After trailing by 17 points going into the second half, New York rallied back, outscoring the Shock 30-18 in the third quarter. The Liberty continued their push into the fourth quarter but were unable to capture the lead. Janel McCarville scored a career-playoff high 21 points while rookies Essence Carson, Leilani Mitchell and Erlana Larkins combined for 25 points in the loss. Deanna Nolan and Taj McWilliams-Franklin picked up 21 and 19 points, respectively, for the Shock. Detroit will now face the San Antonio Silver Stars in their third consecutive WNBA Finals appearance.

GAME 1: Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun
Shameka Christon scored a game-high 19 points to lead the underdog New York Liberty to a 72-63 victory over the Connecticut Sun at Madison Square Garden. New York gained a huge advantage early after achieving a 14 point lead in the first quarter; however, the Sun fought back and eventually narrowed the lead to just three points in the third quarter. The Liberty then regrouped and took over the game, going on a 12-4 run which ultimately put the Sun away. Christon’s 19 point effort was supported by Cathrine Kraayeveld and Janel McCarville who put up 15 and 13 points respectively. The Liberty are now within one win of their first playoff series win in four years.

GAME 2: Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun
The New York Liberty fell to the Connecticut Sun in game 2 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals, 73-70, forcing a decisive game three showdown. Trailing by 15 points heading into the fourth quarter, the Liberty rallied to bring the score to within one point with 1:20 remaining. Unfortunately, Janel McCarville missed a potential game-tying three-pointer from the corner at the buzzer. Guard Loree Moore led the way for the Liberty, pouring in 16 points and dishing out 5 assists.

GAME 3: Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun
Rookie Essence Carson scored 15 points as the Liberty advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 66-62 win over the Connecticut Sun. Shameka Christon had 13 points and Janel McCarville added 12 points and seven rebounds to help the Liberty win a postseason series for the first time since 2004.
