The New York City Sports Commission partnered with the America-Israel Friendship League (AIFL) to bring thirty high school students from five Israeli Communities to New York City as a part of the AIFL's 'Citizenship Through Sports' Exchange Program.

The America-Israel Friendship League, a non-sectarian organization, was founded in 1971 to celebrate and promote the shared democratic values of the two nations. Through youth programs in the United States and Israel, the America-Israel Friendship League strives to build bridges of friendship between the two nations and to promote good citizenship through participation in athletics.
