32nd Annual Father’s Day Skyscraper Harlem Cycling Classic
What: 34th Annual Skyscraper Harlem Classic
When: Sunday, June 17, 2007
Where: Marcus Garvey Park (formerly Mount Morris Park) at 120-124th Streets between Madison and Fifth Avenues

More than 300 cyclists rode in the 34th Annual Father’s Day Skyscraper Harlem Classic. The event provided local community members with the unique opportunity to participate in a cycling race along side world-class cyclists. The Men’s 35-Mile race winner was Amaury Perez with a time of 1 hour, 8 minutes and 59 seconds. First place in the women’s 16-mile event went to Camie Kornely with a time of 38 minutes and 4 seconds. Euri Madera took first place in the men’s 20-mile race with a time of 42 minutes and 16 seconds and in the men’s 16-mile race, Reed Albergotti won with a time of 35 minutes and 1 second.

Regarded as one of the most competitive cycling events in the nation, the Classic is New York City’s oldest criterium race--a multi-lap race on a closed course with laps typically shorter than one mile.
