Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day presented by Hess, held every year prior to the US Open, featured a full day of tennis and music festivities for children and families. Daisy Fuentes and Quddus hosted the daylong event which included a tennis exhibition featuring Andy Roddick, James Blake and Serena Williams as well as musical performances by up-and-coming recording artists Cheyenne Kimball and Teddy Geiger.
A portion of the proceeds from Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day went to the USA Tennis National Junior Tennis League, established in 1969 as a community-driven program designed to develop the character of young people through tennis and to emphasize the ideals of Arthur Ashe.
