Richard Windram is Director of Government and External Affairs for
Verizon in the State of New York. Mr. Windram has 20 years of
experience within Verizon. He joined New York Telephone in 1990 and has
held positions of increasing responsibility in consumer services,
marketing, and government relations. Currently, he is responsible for
leading a team accountable for public policy development and advocacy with
various government offices, agencies and officials in the five boroughs of
New York City. Additionally, his responsibilities include working with
external stakeholders in regards to Verizon’s extensive community outreach
through the Verizon Foundation.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Windram was responsible for
Verizon’s cable franchising initiative in Rockland County, New York and
was a vital member of the Verizon team responsible for securing a cable
television franchise with the City of New York. From 2002 to 2004 he
managed Verizon’s Pay Telephone Franchise with the City of New York.
Mr. Windram is active in his community. He is a member of the Rockland
County Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Division 3, Pearl River little
league, Orangetown Mighty Midget Soccer, and the Rockland Gaelic Athletic
Association. He also serves as a Board Member for the NYC
Parks Foundation.
Mr. Windram is a graduate of the University of Scranton. He received a
J.D from New York Law School and an MBA from Fordham University.
Richard resides in Rockland County, New York with his wife and their
two children.
