Tom joined the NYC Department of
Education in 2005 to direct the implementation of Learning to Work efforts
for the Office of Multiple Pathways to Graduation. These efforts
include the Young Adult Borough Centers, Transfer Schools with Learning to
Work and Learning to Work GED programs. He also manages three
technical assistance partners who are involved in developing capacity
building efforts for these programs. Prior to his current position,
Tom served as Executive Director of the New York Citywide School to Work
Alliance from 1996-2005. Tom has worked over the past 30 years with and
for NYC teens in a variety of community based organizations. He graduated
from Haverford College and earned a management certificate from the
Institute for Not for Profit Management at Columbia University.
