The WIB is made up of over 40 volunteer members, who are appointed by the Mayor, and includes leaders of local businesses, educational institutions, labor unions, community-based organizations, and other government agencies. WIB members develop important workforce policies and explore innovative best practices to advance the quality and effectiveness of New York City's workforce system.
