| Omoniyi Amoran joined the South Bronx Job Corps Academy in October of 2006 as the Director. He served as the Center Director at the Jacksonville, Florida Job Corps from 1998 to 2006. He has worked for over two decades in the Job Corps program including serving as the deputy director at Job Corps locations in Illinois and New Mexico.
Mr. Amoran obtained his Master’s Degree in Linguistics from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a certificate in the basic management program from the University of New Mexico Robert Anderson School of Management.
He also served on the First Job/ First Wages committee (Youth Council) with the First Coast Workforce Development, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL. He also served on the Sheriff’s Advisory Council, Zone 1, in Jacksonville and was a board member of SIATech Charter High School also in Jacksonville, FL.
Mr. Amoran has been recognized throughout the Job Corps community for his dedication and passion. He has received numerous awards for his contributions, including winning the National Directors Award three times, as well as repeatedly being awarded for directing a high performing center in the Atlanta Region.
