How to be an Outstanding Communicator
How would you rate your interpersonal communication skills on a scale of 1 to 10? Are you tired of not getting your point across? It’s no surprise that stage fright and verbal blunders can put a fast-track career or important interview in neutral. That’s why you can’t take chances with your personal communication skills. Translate Your Military Job Experience
Help a hiring manager understand your skills, leadership, and experience gained in the military. This workshop will provide you with personalized, intensive support in translating and leveraging your military service, customizing your resume for specific job opportunities, and conveying your transferable skills in an interview.

Workforce1 offers priority of service to veterans and spouses, including career services and training opportunities. We also substitute relevant military experience for certain training program requirements so that you can more easily develop or enhance your occupational skills in high growth sectors.
1) Experience Counts: If you are a returning veteran and drove a commercial vehicle in the military, you may be eligible for a skills test and full fee waiver so that you can get your CDL A, B, or C for free.
2) Individual Training Grants (ITGS):Your relevant military experience can be substituted for the minimum work requirement to more easily access to training vouchers in 10 high-demand occupations.
