SBS partnered with the Brighton Beach BID to help bring focus to a coastal community working hard to bounce back. Through a website and marketing redesign, the BID wanted to emphasize the recovery work since Sandy, and more importantly, show that 'Little Russia by the Sea' was back and ready for business. Using the website design skills of local group JuxtaDigital, SBS and the BID crafted a merchant directory and inviting website to showcase the commercial district's flair and opportunity.
The BID is hosting a photo contest on the website for amateur and professional photographers alike, to submit their favorite Brighton Beach photos. Winners will be selected in early 2014 and awarded with MasterCard gift cards. The new website is designed to be a guide to the area for tourists and visitors, a platform to promote the area's many restaurants, shops, attractions and events and a marketing tool for local business. To that end the BID will offer training on the site's use and instruction for businesses on managing their own profiles.
