Mandated by
the City Charter in 1977, the
Mayor's Management Report (MMR) is a semi-annual publication that
provides performance data on 44 City agencies and offices. The Preliminary
MMR contains information about agency performance and initiatives
during the first four months of the fiscal year. The Fiscal MMR
(also referred to as the Final MMR) contains similar information
covering the entire fiscal year.
Used
primarily as a management, reporting and planning tool, the MMR
documents agency goals, objectives, performance and accomplishments
in a three-volume publication. Volume I provides agency information
in narrative format. Volume II contains agency-specific and citywide
indicator tables and variance explanations. The Summary Volume presents
a thematic overview of City government's performance and plans in
broad service areas, highlighting key initiatives and indices of
the City's well-being drawn from within and outside government agencies.
