Giuliani Outlines City's Accomplishments in "Mayor's Management
Report"

W. Giuliani today released the Mayor’s Management Report (MMR)
for Fiscal Year 1998, which covers the period July 1, 1997 through
June 30, 1998, and for selected programs, through August 30, 1998.
"This
Mayor's Management Report demonstrates that the unprecedented
improvements that we made during my first term in public safety,
the City's economy, and public education have continued, and in
many cases, have accelerated," Mayor Giuliani said. "The
newer initiatives we instituted to build on our early successes
to improve the quality of life of all New Yorkers are also bearing
fruit, including a significant decrease in traffic fatalities,
more violations issued for illegal conversions, and more arrests
for misdemeanor drug offenses. All New Yorkers can be assured
that my Administration will do everything possible to continue
to make New York a better place to live, work, and visit."
