Diplomatic Affairs

New York City is proud to be the Host City to the Headquarters of the United Nations, as well as 189 Permanent Missions to the UN. The goal of the Division for Diplomatic and Consular Affairs is to facilitate positive relations between the Office of the Mayor, as well as all City Agencies, businesses, residents of New York City, and members of the diplomatic community. To fulfill this goal, the Commission stands ready to assist with answering questions, problem solving, and providing a City orientation for newly arrived diplomatic and consular officers. Additionally, the Commission responds to inquiries and concerns from City residents, businesses, and agencies with regards to the diplomatic community.
