Applicants can now use Build it Back Online to check the status of their application, upload required documents, and ask questions. Click here for instructions on how to use the website.
Build it Back emailed all applicants with an email on file to announce Build it Back Online and share an invitation code for logging into the website. If you did not receive a code, please contact Customer Service at (212) 615-8329 or email email@example.com.
Environmental Control Board Violations
Applicants can look up any Environmental Control Board (ECB) violations issued to their property by using the City's Open Data Portal. For instructions on how to search for violations, click here.
If you do have a violation, click here to learn how to respond to your ticket.

NYC DOB Application and Permit Fees Waived
Application and permit fees are waived for owners whose properties were damaged in Hurricane Sandy and who are rebuilding or repairing their homes through Build it Back. Contractors are no longer required to pay DOB filing fees and submit for reimbursement. Read the full announcement here.

Please ask to see official identification for any contractor who says that they are affiliated with NYC Build it Back. You can confirm the identity of a contractor by calling Customer Service at 212-615-8329.
