online. Spanning 1990 through 1993, this inventory provides folder-level
access to the records of the mayoral administration of David N. Dinkins.
The Municipal Archives’ new book, New York Rises: The Photographs
of Eugene de Salignac is a fascinating history of the City in never-before-seen
pictures taken over the first four decades of the twentieth century.
Between 1939 and 1941, the city photographed every house and building in
the five Boroughs. Copies of these unique images are now available for purchase.
The Municipal Archives has records of births reported in the five Boroughs
of New York City prior to 1910; deaths reported prior to 1949, and marriages
reported prior to 1930.
