New York City is hosting the 11th annual Poem in Your Pocket day on Thursday, April 18, 2013 to celebrate National Poetry Month. To join in the excitement, write your own poem or borrow one from your favorite poet; just make sure to carry a poem in your pocket to share with your friends, family, classmates, and colleagues.
All month long, organizations will present poetry-inspired events throughout
the five boroughs. Explore this site for more information on events, volunteer
opportunities, and other special opportunities.
