Calling All Poetry Lovers: Celebrate New York City's 6th
Annual Poem in Your Pocket Day at the Bryant Park Reading
Room, Thursday, April 17, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Bring a favorite poem to Bryant Park and receive a free book
of poetry; one book per person while the supply lasts.
In addition to NYC student poets, you'll have an opportunity
to hear many of our special guest poets from Urban Word NYC,
Cornell University, New York University, LEAP and the Frederick
Douglass Creative Arts Center.
This Bryant Park poetry program is co-hosted by the Bryant
Park Reading Room, Simon and Schuster, the NYC Dept. of Cultural
Affairs, NYC Dept. of Education and the Mayor's Office.
The Bryant Park Reading Room is located on 6th Ave. @ 42nd
