Welcome to the NYCStat Stimulus Tracker

With the NYCStat Stimulus Tracker, New Yorkers can track the City’s use of federal stimulus/recovery funds provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).  Stimulus Tracker provides a Funding Summary, which gives an overview of all stimulus dollars allocated to date and  Funding Details, which lists detailed information about projects and programs in each major category of stimulus funding.

A note about New York City’s job calculations.
In accordance with the federal government’s requirements per Section 1512 of ARRA, the measurement of actual jobs created or retained uses a method commonly referred to as full-time equivalency (FTE). Using an FTE method for calculating jobs provides a more accurate count by factoring in part-time work, work that is less than a complete reporting cycle and similar situations.

The federal government required all states and municipalities to calculate job creation and retention using an FTE methodology to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reporting jurisdictions.

Prior to the federal guidance on FTE methodology, the City projected the number of jobs to be created or retained during the lifetime of the entire project/program; these “job estimates” are therefore calculated differently from the “actual FTE jobs” reported.  The original job estimates now appear in the left pane of each project/program dashboard page wherever applicable.

* Includes 10,458 City jobs retained as a result of ARRA-funded Medicaid Relief.
