MAYOR GIULIANI AND CLEVELAND MAYOR WAGER ON YANKEES-INDIANS PLAYOFF SERIES

American League Divisional Playoff Series Between New York Yankees And Cleveland Indians Starts Tomorrow Night

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and Mayor Michael R. White, of Cleveland, today set the terms on a wager on the outcome of the American League Divisional Playoff Series between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians.

In the likely event of a Yankees win, Mayor White will deliver to Mayor Giuliani 10 pounds of Lake Erie Perch, a case of Great Lakes Brewery beer, a pair of tickets to the Cleveland Orchestra, tickets to a play in Cleveland's historic Playhouse Theater District, and tickets to Cleveland's Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame.

In the unlikely event of an Indians win, Mayor White will receive 10 pounds of striped bass from New York City's, once again clean, East River, a case of Brooklyn Lager Beer, and tickets to the New York Philharmonic and the Bronx Zoo.

"As the reigning World Champions I'm looking forward to watching the Yankees sweep the playoffs and ultimately win back-to-back World Series Championships," said Mayor Giuliani. "I hope Mayor White can offer some of his favorite recipes for Lake Erie Perch."
