MAYOR GIULIANI'S STATEMENT REGARDING THE LEGISLATURE'S PASSAGE OF THE CITY TRANSITIONAL FINANCE AUTHORITY
"Today, the State legislature helped assure that vital capital funds are available to New York City. I wish to thank Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, and all of the members of the Senate and Assembly who supported this important legislation. The New York City Transitional Finance Authority will ensure that all of the City's future capital needs are met, allowing for the continuation of our essential capital projects in the areas of education, transportation and the environment. It will also enable us to make vital infrastructure improvements as necessary."
