Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani today released the following statement regarding the New York City Transitional Finance Authority:
"The consensus reached yesterday in Albany on the New York Transitional Finance Authority will ensure that all of the City's vital capital needs are met as we approach the year 2000. This agreement will allow the continuation of our critical capital program in the areas of education, transportation and the environment. It will also enable us to make the infrastructure improvements that are absolutely necessary if New York City is to continue to grow, prosper and remain competitive. I wish to thank Governor Pataki, Senator Bruno, Speaker Silver and their respective staffs for their hard work in forging this consensus."
