"The first of five bills before me today is Introductory Number 256-A, sponsored by Council Members Martinez, Jackson, Palma, Seabrook, Mealy, Liu, Reyna and Sears.

"Introductory Number 256-A largely codifies into law preexisting Taxi and Limousine Commission rules regarding the establishment and administration of the Commission's Administrative Tribunal.  Additionally, the bill includes provisions which further ensure an appropriate balance between due process for licensees' and protections for the public.

"I would like to thank the Taxi and Limousine Commission Chair Matthew Daus and his staff for their work on this bill.  I would also like to thank the Council for approving this legislation"
