MAYOR BLOOMBERG ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION OF WEEKLY RADIO SHOW WITH JOHN GAMBLING

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today joined John Gambling and WOR Radio Vice President and General Manager Jerry Crowley to announce that when Mr. Gambling returns to New York City radio next week as the host of the John Gambling Show, the Mayor will resume the weekly Friday morning radio show that he and Gambling have co-hosted since 2002.  The announcement, which was made at Ben Benson's Steak House in midtown Manhattan, was carried live on the air on WOR.

"When John and I were last talking on the radio about eight weeks ago, Arthur from Manhattan called in and asked what I don't like about my job.  I said 'not much,' but, ever since,  there's one thing I haven't liked: not being able to have intelligent conversations on the radio with John Gambling about the issues that matter most," Mayor Bloomberg said.  "John is a class act in the world's greatest city.  And even when we don't agree, I've always told him that he's got every right to be wrong."

Airing live from 8 AM to 9 AM Fridays on WOR AM 710 HD and www.wor710.com, the Mayor's radio show will again offer New Yorkers the opportunity to call in and ask questions.  Because the Mayor will be part of the Presidential Delegation to the US-Northern Ireland Investment Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland next week, he will briefly call into the new show on Friday, May 9 and join John for the full hour on Friday, May 16.
