HIGHLIGHTS FROM MAYOR GIULIANI'S AFTERNOON PRESS BRIEFING


Mayor Giuliani addressed the City of New York today to inform them of updates
and various services available to the public.


NYC Government Agencies
All NYC government employees should resume normal working schedules
tomorrow. Any NYC government employee who feels that they will have difficulty in reaching downtown Manhattan should consult their supervisor.


Transportation
Please be advised that there is limited accessibility into Manhattan. All residents are
asked to please utilize mass transportation in an effort to reduce traffic and congestion.

Due to popularity of the sunset Park ferry into Manhattan, additional ferries will be commissioned for this route.

Tommorow, the Brooklyn Bridge will re-open two lanes for vehicular traffic into Manhattan. However, the Brooklyn Bridge will continue to be closed for Brooklyn-bound traffic for the present.

The Department of Labor will be issuing grants to the families in need of assistance due to the world trade Center crisis. Please call (800) 462-9029 for more information.
