The action-oriented committee structure has enabled the New York City Workforce Development Board (WDB) to become more vibrant and effective in empowering the members to take on greater leadership roles in the City's workforce system. Permanent WDB committees include:
The Executive Committee acts on behalf of the WDB on all policy, performance management, fiscal and administrative issues related to the local workforce system.
The Youth Committee oversees the performance of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funded programs for in-school and out-of-school youth. It is responsible for developing strategies to address the critical workforce challenges facing the City's youth population.
The Policy Committee sets training policies for the City's workforce system and oversees the activities of non-permanent workgroups.
Employer Engagement Committee
